There was a certain time in my life when God called me to make a change; to let go of something I found joy and comfort in, and to rely on him for joy and comfort. And there's a leaf in my bible that serves to remind me of that time and that decision. I could let go, I could trust in myself to make the best of it, or, I could remember his word that says, "For everything there is a season." So I would let go, and I would hold on to Him, and I would be at peace because of it.
